The successful establishment of the Mark Degree in Cyprus led a number of brethren at the eastern end of the island to think that it would be good to have a Mark Lodge to serve the Larnaca and Famagusta areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

After numerous committee meetings and a great deal of spadework by W.Bro Elefteris (Lefty) Georgiou P.G.St.B, who did so much to bring the Mark here in the first place, Kition Lodge of Mark Master Masons was consecrated by RW Bro Peter Rolling G.M.R.A.C, <\/span>Provincial Grand Master for East Anglia and a team of officers from his Province, on Wednesday, 7th October 2009 at the San <\/span>Remo Hotel, Larnaca.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first Master, W.Bro Duncan J. Moore P.G.S.D was installed by W.Bro Ivan Hugh Notley P.G.S.D, Deputy Provincial Grand Master for East Anglia. The first administration included many experienced and committed Mark Masons and there were several candidates in prospect.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first regular meeting was held on Monday, 25th January 2010, at which one candidate was advanced and a former Mark Mason in the Greek Constitution was re-advanced.<\/span><\/p>\n

On February 15th, 2010 W.Bro Moore installed W.Bro William Bishop as his successor and the list of candidates grew.<\/span><\/p>\n

In our first full year we advanced or re-advanced 14 candidates and received two joining members, as well as doing a mass\u00a0<\/span>advancement of 13 candidates to enable our daughter lodge <\/span>Phoenix No.1923 to be consecrated in November 2010. This trend continued in 2011 with one advancee and four joining <\/span>members at our temple facility in the San\u00a0 Remo Hotel. At the beginning of 2023 it became necessary to move to The Masonic Rooms, 100 &101 in Dhekelia. from where w<\/span>e continue welcome visits from Mark Masons of regular constitutions.<\/span><\/p>\n
